Mr. & Mrs. Wilson :: Wedding

This is Jayme and her husband Rodney (Rod, or Hot Rod as she calls him). I used to work with Jayme and she pretty quickly became one of my very favorite people. She is one of the kindest, strongest, and most generous people I have ever met. I was so glad to get to be a part of her big day!

The wedding was at a pretty little cabin that was right off the beaten path in Polk County, TN. Seeing as though I got married in a cabin myself, I am feeling a little extra in love with these cozy photos!

Enjoy!!

:: FAMILY ::

What a beautiful day! These photos were taken in Georgetown, Tennessee a couple weekends back. My husband works with one of these fellas (Shane, he's in plaid) and so through a few connections I was lucky enough to get to work with this great bunch! There are SO MANY lovely pictures to choose from, these are just a few of my personal favorites. After the family gets their discs I may just have to blog a few more!!
ENJOY

:: MIA ::

Hey Ya'll!

I swear I haven't gone missing...

It seems like I have not posted a single photo or blog in so long. I am still here! Some of my latest shoots have been boudoir (aka a little too risqué for the web). I am, however, busily finishing up some family photos I did on a beautiful piece of property in Georgetown, Tennessee. I will be blogging about that TOMORROW. Then next week I will be posting some pictures from a fun cabin wedding I did this past weekend near Cleveland.

This semester has anything but flown by, that's for sure. I am FINALLY wrapping up some of my last assignments and for a few glorious weeks will be able to turn my attention back to photography full time!

Back to editing I go, just wanted to send a friendly hello and let everyone know I will be back to the blogosphere real soon!

Love,
C

Meet Jane :: Birth

Meet Jane. Isn't she pretty? (Just like her mama) Jane is special. Not just because she is the sweetest and newest baby I have been around in quite a while, but because she is my very first birth as a photographer!! I was thinking one day several months ago about how I think this would be a branch of photography I would really enjoy, so I emailed Kate. Kate has been in my life for quite some time now. A friend of a friend who became my friend as well. Kate is really the sweetest and happiest person you will ever meet. Really. She was ready and willing to let me be the first on the scene when Miss Jane arrived. So I paced the floor anxiously waiting for three months. Then one Sunday afternoon I got the text I had been waiting on. It was time! I charged my battery and formatted SD cards and by 9:45 I was greeted by Gary Crowe (the dad in this story) and escorted to Labor and Delivery Room 8. The rest is history (and preserved in these photos).

 I am so excited to say that this trial birth was as wonderful as I expected and I will definitely be offering birth sessions hence forth, in fact, it may be my new favorite thing!!

Nate & Kellie :: Engaged

This happy couple is Nate and his beautiful bride to be, Kellie. These guys are another set of our friends that I have the pleasure of working with. Ben and Nate have been close pals for a really long time. In fact I remember several of our earliest dates included Nate. He is one of the few who enjoys his eggs, well, runny. And Kellie is a lovely gal who currently lives in Athens, GA. Did I mention she works at UGA? It seems like forever ago now, but I remember a night in Athens several years ago. The night got off to a rough start, but we spent hours on Kellie's patio with them just listening to music and laughing. That is what they do. Laugh. These two are such happy spirits. I am looking forward to their wedding in June!
